home / one-to-one tuition

We have given home tuition and one-to-one support to many different clients of all ages and levels of experience. We cover all manner of topics from PC -> Mac conversion through to giving degree-level training for multimedia students

website development work

We have developed a selective portfolio of client websites, and currently have several more in the pipeline. All the sites listed below are hosted by our providers at very reasonable rates.

Holmes Limited (Architect & Interior Design)

The client asked us to create a website that exactly matched the design brief of their chosen Graphic Design Agency (2 Degrees North). We incorporated the design into a template for an off-the-shelf CMS so the customer retained total control of the content whilst adhering to their branding.

The site is dominated by a central visual space for information panels and images of the client's architectural and interior design work.

Instep Limited (Shoe Store)

The client had previously had an online store which was provided by Donkeylogic but with a 3rd party providing a custom payment gateway and hosting. The client asked us to make a new site for them with a cleaner branding. In this instance we sourced an appropriate template to minimise cost.

The site is an open-source online shoe store with payment services through PayPal IPN.

Confucius Oriental Cuisine (Restaurant)

The client asked for a clean and simple website that complemented the theme and styling of their restaurant. We designed the site in close consultation with the client, following a trip to the premises and a review of their menus and stationery.

The site contains menus, a slideshow (photos by ourselves), a feedback area and contact details and is otherwise static.

Les Cotils Library (Library)

The client had intented to distribute their library catalogue on CD, but we decided that a more approporiate solution was to build a new library database with a web front-end so users of the library had direct access to a searchable library catalogue.

The site is currently being overhauled as this is one of our earlier works and could do with a new coat of paint!

Moraira Rentals (Holiday Villa)

The client approached us with a view to creating a web-brochure of their rental property in Spain to enable prospective clients to view images of the property and also a calendar showing its availability, but they administer the bookings themselves.

The site contains information about and slideshows of the villa and the neighbouring area.

St Matthew's Church, Cobo (Church)

The webmaster of this site asked for some help with creating a new look and feel for the site which maintained the previous ethic of white-space, ease-of-navigation and intuitive navigation.

The site has a database-driven service listing and events section and the rest is largely static/informative.

Bus User Group - Guernsey (Charity)

The client intended to form a new user group in Guernsey for the Bus system, and wanted to manage as much of the administration as possible using a website. We worked very closely with the client and ensured the colours and styling used matched their vision and our local bus network's colour scheme.

The site contains static information about the charity as well as a Forum and sign-up area for members.
